About the CEO – Pearl Batik

I am Thanuja Wijesuriya, the Founder and CEO of Pearl Batik. With a strong passion for traditional batik artistry and fashion entrepreneurship, I have dedicated my career to preserving and promoting authentic batik craftsmanship.

I have successfully completed NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Level 4 qualifications, strengthening my professional knowledge and technical expertise in the field. In addition, I am proud to be recognized as a Batik Artist under the National Craft Council of Sri Lanka, which reflects my commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and cultural authenticity.

Through Pearl Batik, my vision is to blend traditional batik techniques with modern designs, creating elegant and meaningful fashion pieces. I strongly believe in empowering local artisans, supporting sustainable craftsmanship, and bringing Sri Lankan batik to both local and international markets.
